PROJECT DELIVERY

Since many video editing systems will let you choose the sample rate when you export the audio, you should choose the same sample rate the project is using. This prevents any unnecessary sample rate conversions.
For video, export as a small-format Quicktime movie, generally 320×240 will work just fine. The quality and size of the Quicktime movie doesn’t need to be very good, because it will just be used as a reference when we do the audio work.

Since we provide Remote / Online Audio Post Production Services, it’s delivery couldn’t be any simpler! Throughout our secure server any outside client, being out of town or international, can deliver its files with security by uploading to our website. Fast, secure and never been quicker! Any client may upload files up to 2GB of file size! Our secure and private server is also used to clients download master files and revision audio mixes.
In general it’s not a bad idea to compress multiple files into a single ZIP or RAR. This will help keep everything together and might save some space as well.
When uploading audio files, please upload either WAV or AIF files.
Also when uploading make sure that the file has an extension such as “.wav” for WAV files or “.aif” for AIFF files.

MORE INFO AND DETAILS

What is Audio Post-Production?

Audio Post Production is the process of creating the soundtrack for a visual program of some kind. Ever since silent movies began to talk, filmmakers have been looking to control and improve the quality of the sound of their creation.
As soon as creators realized there was a way to control and enhance the sound of their pictures, Audio Post was born, and has been a fact of life ever since.
As TV evolved, and the art form grew to include "videotaped" and "filmed" programming, the need for Audio Post increased. Nowadays, it would be difficult to find any feature film or television show that hasn't been through audio post.

Mixing / Re-Recording / Dubbing

At Sound Pressure Studios we take care of Mixing with major importance since this stage is responsible of balancing the various elements, i.e., - the Dialogue (and ADR), Music, Sound Effects, and Foley Effects, in the final mix.
For us this is the most important job in audio post production, where all of the sound elements of a project are balanced and blended together. The final copy of the composite soundtrack is delivered as a digital file with extreme secure measures.

Sound Effects Editing and Design

Ever wonder how they made the sound of Darth Vader's helmet breath, or the Empire's Tie Fighters, or that great train wreck sequence from "The Fugitive"? - Sound Effects Editing and Design are how.
At Sound Pressure Studios the process of adding sound effects (backgrounds like: air, rivers, birds, traffic, and hard effects like: gunshots, door slams, body falls, etc.) is mainly digital but we also use some analog technology to create sound effects that have never been heard before, or to artistically create specific "mood" sounds to complement the director's vision of the visuals.

Foley Recording and Editing

Taking its name from Jack Foley, the Hollywood sound effects person generally regarded as the "father" of these effects, Foley effects are sounds that are created by recording human movement in sync with the picture. Different from the environmental backgrounds and hard effects that comprise edited sound effects, Foley effects are sounds like footsteps, prop movement, cloth rustling, etc.
At Sound Pressure Studios we will reproduce and guarantee that the players involved in this process will take your project to the quality level you wish to be!

ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement)

At Sound Pressure Studios the actor will have the right environment and mood to record the necessary lines in sync with the picture. So, when necessary, if the production audio is too noisy, or otherwise unusable (bad line reading, airplane fly-by, etc.) the Dialogue Editor will have the chance to "cue" the line for ADR at our studio.

Music Composition and Music Editing

Sound Pressure Studios is ready to make the general Music for Film/TV categories: Source and Songs.
Source music is that music we hear coming from an on screen or off screen device of some kind; some examples are radio source music, phonograph records, TV show themes, when seen on a TV set in the shot, and many other similar variations. Source music may be original, or licensed from a number of libraries that specialize in the creation of "generic" music. Songs may occupy either function, depending on the dramatic intent of the director. Using "Pulp Fiction" as an example, Director Quentin Tarantino hired a Music Supervisor (Karyn Rachtman, FYI) to "score" the picture using period music of the 1970's almost exclusively.

Production Dialog Editing

At Sound Pressure Studios we have the necessary tools and technology to locate the proper take from the recorded production audio, checking sync (so it actually works with the picture properly), and eliminate extraneous noise so that you could have a clean dialog to use during the Mixing process.

Narration & Commentary

Sound Pressure Studios has a great range of industry-standard microphones, the right pre-amp, and an acoustically ideal Narration & Commentary zone. We can deliver what you need and when needed!
